Conducting new research
Reviewing existing research evidence provides answers to many questions, but also highlights areas where research evidence is missing. Sometimes, we also need research that explores issues that are specific to Wales.
To tackle this, the Health and Care Research Wales Evidence Centre works with collaborating partners to conduct research studies to provide new data and research findings to fill information gaps and support the development of policy and practice to benefit the public.
Working with other organisations and researchers in Wales, the Centre:
- Develops research objectives and proposals
- Conducts and supports teams to carry out the research
- Works with members of the public, government, NHS and social care leads to prioritise research
- Ensures the research is available to those who need it
