Global Evidence Summit 2024 in Prague

At the Global Evidence Summit in Prague, Czech Republic, (10-13 September, 2024), researchers from the Evidence Centre delivered a workshop and presented findings aimed at improving systematic review methodologies.

female, judit, standing next to a poster Judit Csontos presented a poster, "Manual versus Web of Science-based Tabulation of Included Studies to Determine Overlap in Overviews of Reviews: Does it Save Time?" This study within a review compared manual methods with Web of Science-based tools to assess whether automated approaches could reduce the time required to identify study overlaps in overviews of reviews.

 

female, Liz, standing next man looking at the posterLiz Gillen presented a poster, "Does One Size Fit All – Unified Tools for Assessing the Methodological Quality within Rapid Reviews of Intervention Effects". This work is being undertaken with colleagues from the National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools (McMaster University Canada) and the Evidence Centre. Liz also was part of a team that delivered a session to information specialists from across the globe.

This was based on the findings from the Evidence Centre’s Rapid Review on "What are the most effective interventions to support children and young people bereaved by suicide in the family".

Mala was also involved in delivering a workshop with colleagues from Cochrane on “Getting the most out of your information specialist” workshop that aimed to improve collaboration between information specialists, researchers and stakeholders.
